Moore Movement / Moore Move (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your personal information when you use the Moore Movement / Moore Move mobile application (“the App”) and our services.
By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

We act as the Data Controller for all personal data collected through the App.
2. What Personal Data We Collect
We only collect information necessary to operate the App, manage your subscription, and improve your experience.
2.1 Information You Provide
- Account information: name, email, password.
- Subscription details: payment status, plan type (individual or care home).
- Optional profile info: age range and ability level (if supplied).
- Customer support messages: when you contact us.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- App usage data: features used, videos watched, time spent in the App.
- Device information: device type, operating system version.
- Crash logs and diagnostics: used to improve stability.
2.3 Payment Information
Payments are processed securely through third-party providers (e.g., Google Play, Apple App Store).
We do not store or access your full card details.
2.4 Data Inventory
All data types the App accesses and/or collects:
- Account data: email, display name, password (hashed) — for account creation, authentication, and management
- Authentication provider data: name, email, profile photo from Google Sign In or Sign in with Apple — for account setup
- Subscription status: premium/free status, purchase state from Apple App Store or Google Play — for access control
- Profile preferences: nickname, interests (program categories), ability level — for personalising program recommendations
- Video notes: program ID, program title, date, notes (free text) — for tracking your sessions
- Video watch progress: program ID, watch position, duration, completion status — for continue-watching and progress tracking
- Saved programs: program IDs you save — for your saved/favourites list
- Usage analytics: screens viewed, feature usage, events via Firebase Analytics — for app improvement
- Device information: device type, OS version — for compatibility and diagnostics
- Crash diagnostics: crash logs when crashes occur — for stability improvement
- Network state: connectivity status — for video streaming
We do not access data from Apple Health, Google Fit, or any other health or fitness APIs on your device. All health-related information we hold is provided voluntarily by you within the App.
2.5 Health Data
Definition: “Health Data” in this policy means information relating to your health, fitness, movement ability, or conditions that you voluntarily provide to the App. The App does not integrate with Apple Health, Google Fit, or any device health APIs. We do not read, import, or sync data from those sources.
Health Data we collect and use:
1. Interests / program categories
During signup or when editing your profile, you may select interests from categories such as: Balance, Hip Rehabilitation, Seated Classes, Mobility, Strength, Workout, Yoga, and similar.
- Collection: You choose these categories
- Usage: To personalise program recommendations and content
- Storage: Stored in your profile in our secure backend
- Sharing: We do not sell or share this data with advertisers
2. Ability level
You may select an ability level (e.g. Level 1, 2, or 3) reflecting your fitness/movement capability.
- Collection: You provide this during onboarding or profile editing
- Usage: To tailor program suggestions and difficulty to your needs
- Storage: Stored in your profile in our secure backend
- Sharing: Not sold or shared with advertisers
3. Training log notes
You may add free-text notes to your training logs (e.g. how a session felt, areas of focus, discomfort, or progress). These notes may contain health-related information.
- Collection: You voluntarily enter notes in the App
- Usage: For your own records and to review your progress over time
- Storage: Stored with your training logs in our secure backend
- Sharing: Not sold or shared with advertisers
Legal basis: We process this Health Data on the basis of contract (to provide the service you subscribed to) and legitimate interest (to improve recommendations). Where required by law, we may also rely on consent.
Your rights: You may access, correct, delete, or export your Health Data at any time. To request deletion of your account and all associated Health Data, contact us at [email protected]. See Section 8 for your full rights.
Retention: Health Data is retained while your account is active. Upon account deletion, we delete this data in accordance with Section 6.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your personal data to:
- Provide access to the App and subscription content
- Manage your account and subscription
- Improve app performance, content, and user experience
- Respond to customer enquiries
- Maintain app security and prevent fraudulent use
- Comply with legal and financial obligations
We do not sell your data.
We only use your data when we have a lawful basis (see next section).

- Contract: to provide the services you have subscribed to

We do not share your data with advertisers or unrelated third parties.
6. Data Storage and Retention
Your data is stored securely using encrypted servers.
We retain data only as long as necessary:
- Account information: while your account is active
- Subscription/payment data: up to 7 years (legal requirement)
- Usage data: anonymised after reasonable periods
You may request deletion of your account at any time.
7. International Transfers
If any service providers are located outside the UK, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place (e.g., ICO-approved Standard Contractual Clauses).
